If you were really all that good looking wouldn't somebody important be knocking on your door trying to get you to sign a dog food contract or something?


If you were really all that smart wouldn't somebody important be asking you questions about how to solve the current energy crises?


If you were all that rich wouldn't people be hitting you up for loans all the time?


If you were all that cool wouldn't there be lots of folks copying what you do and say?


If you're such a fashion expert wouldn't you be receiving money for your input?


The truth is you're like the rest of us. You're good looking but nothing that would make Rover roll over and bark. You're smart but didn't get any important scholarships that provided much of anything worthwhile. You're rich in friends and fellowship and have lots of people on your Christmas card list but let's face it you're not invited to that many really neat parties. You're cool but so is Alaska. You're a wonderful dresser but so is that hunk of dark furniture sitting in your bedroom stuffed with last decades worn out underwear. When it comes right down to it you like the rest of mankind are wonderful but nobody is going to race to the bank to underwrite your adventures. Sorry about that but you like the rest of humanity must cope with being YOU!
